This new pool was designed & constructed with swimming in mind. The pool design was a combination effort between John Doak Architecture & Pool Patrol. The client swims daily and didn’t want to turn after every few strokes, which is typical in most backyard pools. To allow the client plenty of strokes before turning, it was designed at 75 ft. with an average depth of 5 ft. Other than having a pool long enough for swimming, the client didn’t want to see any of the pool fittings on this all-tile pool. So to hide the suction fitting, we recessed them in the stair risers, and rather than use standard pool return fittings, we cut ¾” grey PVC pipe flush with the wall making everything invisible. Now the client has the pool of her dreams and swims every day, sometimes more than once.
