Terms of service.
General notices
This Contract is for pool cleaning and not for equipment maintenance or repairs. All maintenance or repairs shall be authorized by the customer in writing prior to any work commencing.
Pool Patrol employees will not complete extra billable work outside of this contract for money in their pocket.
Well water must not be used to top up water levels.
Regular visit tasks
Vacuum pool or spa and remove floating debris from the surface;
Clean skimmer and baskets;
Skimmer rim scrubbed and cleaned periodically;
Pump strainer basket checked - cleaned as required;
Brush walls and floors to curtail algae growth;
Chemicals added as necessary;
Clean tile belt. (NB: The removal of Efflorescence build up, is an extra billable service);
Check Chlorine, PH and Alkalinity levels weekly, Cyanuric Acid and Calcium hardness monthly;
Check salt levels for pools equipped with Chlorine generators;
Check normal operation of pump, filter, pool lights and time clock;
Backwash DE or sand filters and hose cartridge filters;
Polish handrail and ladder as necessary;
After each service, the pumphouse is checked to ensure the equipment is operational.
Exclusions/extras
All chemicals are billed separately at the end of each month, in arrears;
DE Filters require a periodic full strip down to preserve their efficiency. We recommend this every 3 months for commercial pools and every 6 months for residential pools. The estimated cost for a strip down is CI$95-CI$150 plus any parts should they be necessary. You will be contacted when such dates occur;
Debris clean up caused by hurricanes, storm surge etc;
Draining, refill and balancing of spas;
Topping up of water, NB: water levels should be at the top third of the skimmers;
Automatic devices for maintaining water levels are available for purchase;
Underground flooded pump houses;
Removal and replacement of any type of pool cover incl safety net and solar cover;
Property Access
You allow Pool Patrol employee(s) to be present on the property where your pool/spa is located for any allocated time necessary to complete the tasks required for the maintenance or repair of your pool/spa. It is the property owner’s responsibility to ensure that our technician has a safe and clear access to the pool/spa and it’s pumps on the scheduled service dates;
If your pool/spa is in a secure area, we ask you to provide us with a key marked with your name or code necessary to obtain access;
For the safety of our staff and prevention of liability, the path to and surrounding area of the pool/ spa must be clear of obstacles, not limited to toys, furniture, yard equipment etc;
Any dogs are secured prior to the arrival of our employee(s);
The technician reserves the right to cancel a job if there is: no access, locked gate or unsafe conditions to the pool/ spa at time of arrival. This will be accommodated where possible or on the next scheduled date. An attempt to contact you will be made at the property or by phone for access prior to leaving the job;
Pool Patrol takes no liability for damage to the property unless it is a direct result of Pool Patrol employee negligence.
Retail Pool Cleaning Customers – Payments
A refundable deposit equal to one (1) months service charge is required before service commences;
Monthly statements are issued by the 10th for the previous month’s service. Statements cover services, chemicals and related services for pool cleaning;
Standard settlement is by the end of the month in full;
For outstanding balances at month end, a reminder will be sent;
When outstanding balances are in excess of 45 calendar days, a second reminder for the overdue balance will be sent by email, marked as a Final Reminder;
Where two months of arrears have accrued, pool servicing will be paused until ALL balances have been brought up to date;
If accounts are not brought up to date within 70 calendar days, the account may be passed to collections unless a payment plan has been agreed.
Termination
This is a rolling Contract (“Contract for Services”, “Contract”), with a one (1) month notice period for termination, which must be received in writing.
Variation to Terms and Conditions
Variations to Terms and Conditions may be agreed mutually and appended to this Contract as one or more schedules (“Schedule”) to accommodate specific requirements, for example for customers that represent a Strata Board or corporate customers such as Hotels and Condominiums.
